About me

I have been working as a child psychotherapist and school counsellor for 20 years.  I have experience in a number of different primary schools helping children with a wide variety of issues such as anxiety, behaviour problems, bullying, domestic abuse, depression, parental separation, gender and other issues.

I give supervision to school counsellors generally and education staff in safeguarding and professional development. I run training sessions for school staff and other workers on topics such as attachment, gender identity or dysphoria, relaxation.

I have worked in special schools with autism, severe and profound learning difficulties and non-verbal children aged from 4 to 19.

Before that I was a teacher in Further Education in Hackney and Tower Hamlets helping young people and adults gain Access and other qualifications in psychology and biology for university entrance.

I have a wide experience and interest in cultural and ethnic diversity as well as other differences such as those of gender and sexual orientation.

I abide by both the UKCP and the BACP code of ethics and receive regular supervision and professional development.
